In January 2012, the Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago and the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at Princeton University organized a joint field computational ecology course in Kenya. This course brings together 6 Ph.D. students from Ecology and 10 Ph.D. students from Computer Science in an effort to foster inter-disciplinary research in computational ecology.
