i use the smart stand to hold up my text books at different angles so i don't have to strain my neck or arms. this holds the most heaviest of textbooks (it hasn't collapsed on me yet) and also can be folded up to fit in any backpack./nyou could even use it to prop up your iPad if it was getting hard to hold in a certain position!/na very cheap & convenient tool for students everywhere!
